More About Me

Hi, I'm Chelle! But you probably already knew that.

I grew up in Bristol, England, moved to Bournemouth to study Television Production, went to London to work once I'd graduated, and after some discussions with my boyfriend (now fiancé) about the sort of people we wanted to be, moved to South Korea to teach English to poor unsuspecting elementary school kids. In the future I'd love to live somewhere in Honshu, Japan and Australia's Gold Coast.

I love languages, and I especially love and hate English because of its history and complexity. I also love cooking, and I'm having to come to terms with the fact my apartment lacks an oven and just work out alternative ways to cook my favourite recipes (and learn some new ones in the process!
I also draw a bit and I'm a huge nerd, so if you want to get unashamedly excited over some anime, films, video games or even drawing supplies, hit me up.

I'm from Bristol, so I sound a bit like Hagrid or a Hobbit, if that helps you read my posts (let's lean towards Hagrid because of my height) but I'm also a bit of a parrot, so I sometimes also affect a Filipino accent (because of my mother) and a US accent (because of my co-workers), and more often a more generalised "English" accent (because of my boyfriend and the fact that I worked hard to force myself into the Bristol accent in the first place).

I know my writing style is rambling, contrived and a bit verbose with smacks of the young adult authors I love to read, so anyone who manages to get through a block of text I've written goes into my good books. This blog is more for my own memory, as well as keeping my family up to date with my antics as I'm notoriously bad at keeping in touch. Sorry. ㅠㅠ
